Jim Hodge – Ower and Master Builder
The owner of Marin Renovation & Construction, Jim Hodge, was trained by generations of Southern craftsmen and has been working in the trades for over thirty years. Jim's early training was as a high-end custom painter. He traveled throughout the United States painting specialized finishes for the rich and famous. From there Jim got involved in the furniture market in High Point, North Carolina. He quickly built a business remodeling showrooms with all the major furniture companies. Jim came to California in 1990 to break into the fast moving real estate market of the San Francisco Bay Area. For over ten years he built up a clientele with real estate agents and private investors wishing to remodel property. In 2000 Jim began working on his own high-end custom home development called Two Oaks Ranch, in the country side near Novato, California. After this he did a three home development called Jenny Lane also in Novato.


Jim Hodge's vast experience covers all phases of construction, from painting to tile, from remodeling to new construction. He has worked with both city and county officials and inspectors and is quite proficient in getting projects moving. Jim experience includes simple kitchen remodels, foundations, working with architects, presentations with City Councils, all aspects of new home construction, sewer installation, and fence building. His experience and knowledge is something new clients can rely on. In addition, his southern charm makes him a joy to work with on any project.

Cathy Locke – Chief of Operations

A seasoned creative professional with over 25 years of experience, Ms. Locke’s track record spans multiple disciplines including operations, marketing, design, and fine art. She has worked with several Fortune 500 clients such as American Express, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, and ITT.  Her experience includes working with some of the world’s premier Advertising agencies, such as Pentagram, Grey Advertising, Landor, Foote Cone & Belding, and Chiat/Day. Cathy has been the Chief Operating Officer for a number of business including an multi-million dollar advertising agency, a marketing consultancy firm, Alvarado Street Bakery a global supplier of organic bread products, and Two Oaks Ranch a high end housing development.

Cathy is responsible for negotiating all financing for projects for Marin Renovation and she runs the administration and marketing for the company. She works with city and county officials in complex development projects. Cathy also acts as our interior design consultant. She designed all the homes that we built, inside and out. She has been responsible for choosing flooring, cabinets, lighting fixtures, doors, and paint colors. She is also an award winning fine artist, her work can be seen at www.cathylocke.com.
